2007 Champions

Women are often much more invested in their role as caregiver to their children, their spouse, and their parents, and do not take time to care for themselves. Without intervention by caring professionals and easy access to care such as the mobile mammography unit, important preventive screenings may be neglected. Travel distance, modesty, and fear can also be factors that keep women from receiving this vital care. Many of these barriers are addressed through this project.
